Dawnita Allard

Dawnita Gay Allard, of Roosevelt, Oklahoma, passed away on December 1, 2022. Dawnita was born on June 10th, 1958 to Truman and Margala Barnes in Waxahachie, Texas.
Dawnita grew up in Brea, California until moving to Hobart, Oklahoma at the age of 15 in 1973. There, she met most of her lifelong friends, as well as her future husband, Russell Allard. They were married in 1979 and welcomed a son, Tyson, in 1983 and second son, Cody, in 1986.
Dawnita was a lifelong Tennis fan and enjoyed watching OU football. Dawnita was an advocate for rescue animals, rescuing 10 dogs and numerous cats over the course of her life. Dawnita was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer in 2007 and fought the disease for the rest of her life. Dawnita loved training and riding horses through her youth and spending time with her granddaughters.
Dawnita is preceded in death by her Father, Truman Barnes.
Dawnita is survived by her Husband, Russell Allard of Roosevelt, OK; Son and Daughter-in-Law, Tyson and Kerri Allard of Weatherford, OK; Son and Daughter-in-Law, Cody and Jennifer Allard of Fort Worth, TX; Granddaughters, Quinn and Berkley Allard of Weatherford, OK. Mother, Margala Gates of Hobart, OK; Brother, Butch Barnes of Hobart, OK.
