David Michael LaCour, 48, of Lawrence, KS passed away on October 14, 2015, Kansas City, MO. David was born on February 4, 1967 in Carnegie, OK. David was a member of the Kiowa/Apache Tribe. He attended elementary school in Carnegie, OK and graduated from Weatherford High School in Weatherford, OK in 1986. He participated in basketball, track, and cross country at Weatherford. He was a 4 time All State athlete in track and cross-country. He won the individual Cross Country state championship for Oklahoma in 1985. He attended Haskell Indian Junior College to play basketball and run track. In 1988, he graduated from Haskell, where he met his wife, Laurie. He married Laurie Corpuz on January 26, 1990 in Lawrence, KS. They had two daughters, Lucinda and Loni LaCour. He worked in construction and enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, and sports. He was very outgoing and could make friends wherever he went. He was well known for his great sense of humor.

David is survived by Spouse, Laurie LaCour, of the home

David is also survived by a host of other friends and family members.

He is preceded in death by: Grandparents William and Margaret Methvin

Wake Services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, October 18, 2015 in the Chapel of Ray and Martha's Funeral Home, of Carnegie, OK.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 19, 2015, at the Cedar Creek United Methodist Church in Carnegie, OK.

Internment will follow at the Saddle Mountain Indian Cemetery under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie, OK. A dinner will follow at Cedar Creek United Methodist Church.
