David Max Jackson

July 16, 1957 — November 4, 2018

David Max Jackson was born July 16, 1957 to Aaron and Ruth L (Fowler) Jackson in Hobart, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on November 4, 2018 at the age of 61. He was welcomed into his heavenly home by his son Grant David, parents Aaron and Ruth L (Fowler) Jackson, and his grandparents. He was raised in the Con-8 community and attended the Friends Church there. David was the youngest of 4 children, joining his siblings: Eric, Randy, and Mary Jan. David graduated from Roosevelt High School with the class of 1975 and attended OSU for 2 years. David worked on the family farm and started making harvest at a young age with his Uncle Willie and Aunt Norene Jackson. David married Pam (Stroud) Jackson on November 2, 1981. They were blessed with 2 children, Megan Rene' in 1984 and Grant David in 1989.

During his life David worked for Duty Packers as a truck driver, for Reid Davis Trucking, in the oil field, and for Greg Pfenning before taking over the family farming/ranching operation in Con-8. He loved his cattle and took much pride in them, and therefore had an awesome herd.

Over time health issues increased, he retired from farming/ranching in 2014. He and Pam moved to Weatherford in 2016 to be near their daughter, Megan and family. They also became legal guardians of their niece, Tara Turpen in 2017.

David Max loved his family and friends dearly. He will be missed by many. His hobbies include: camping, smoking awesome meat on his famous smoker, and of course OSU football.

He is survived by his wife Pamela of 37 years, daughter Megan Pappilli and husband Gary, granddaughters Ri' Leigh Pappilli and Brantlei Kay Pappilli of Weatherford, Niece/Daughter Tara Turpen of the home in Weatherford, brothers: Eric Jackson and Kaye of Sandy, Utah, Randy Jackson and wife Janet of Hobart, sister Mary Jan Swanson and husband Charlie of Roosevelt, Mother-in-law Clitha Kilbourne of Hobart, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, the Stroud family, and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his son Grant David, parents Aaron and Ruth L, grandparents Daddy Fowler and Mom Fowler, Papa and Grandmother Jackson, father-in-law Thurman Stroud, and several cousins and close friends.
