Rev. David Blalock 89, passed into heaven Saturday, July 23, at Physicians Hospital in Anadarko. David was born December 19, 1926 in Cogar, Ok. to D.M. & Letha (Brownen) Blalock.
He married Cleo (Dyer) Blalock Feb 3, 1945 in Anadarko. Cleo preceeded him in death May 23, 2014, after 69 years of raising their family and serving their Lord together.
Also preceeding him in death were his parents, 2 sisters Mona Keeton & Viola Luchan and 5 brothers; John, Ted, Nelson, L.W. (Bully) and Billy Ray.
David was a man who loved God, family & friends. He became a Christian at age 25 and surrendered to the ministry shortly afterward . He pastored churches in Texas, Colorado, New Mexico and Okla. He and Cleo also traveled through the far northwestern states on a mission trip. Many people became Christians during his ministry as well as many young men dedicated their lives to preaching the gospel. David retired from pastoring due to health reasons but continued to supply in many churches. He was an avid horseman, loved fishing but mostly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Loved ones left behind are his son and daughter-in-law David Jr & Donna of Chickasha, daughter and son-in-law Sondra & Kenny Weaver, of Anadarko Four grandchildren Jim Blalock, Mandy Cook, Scott Weaver & wife Jodi, Angie Grizzel & husband Sean, 8 great grandchildren Riley Kate, C.J., Dodge Whitni, Andee, Kyla, Landon & Presley, and 1 great, great grandson, Kai; 1 sister Lola Riddle, 2 sister in laws Ruby & Dorthy Blalock and 3 brother-in-laws he considered brothers. Bill & Billie K. Dyer, Bob & Colleen Dyer and Alan & Carol Ann Dyer, and a host of other relatives and friends.
