Dave Geimausaddle, 84, of Mountain View, Oklahoma passed away peacefully with family by his side on February 20th, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born on November 7th, 1934 to George and May (Apekaum) Geimausaddle in Lawton, Oklahoma. He attended Saddle Mountain, Cooperton and Riverside Indian Schools. He met and became best friends with Melva Gene Tinetiah at Riverside. They married February 26, 1954. After graduation he attended Haskell and completed a two-year training in an electrician program. During the relocation years in 1950 and 60s, Dave moved his family to the Los Angeles area. Job opportunities opened up with several companies and he decided to stay with Pacific Bell (Pac-Bell) for twenty years as part of the Management team. He was very proud to set up the communications system for the 1984 Olympics in Southern California. Dave also coached softball for the young people who attended Indian Revival Center in Bell Gardens, Ca. He also taught Sunday School and was a Counselor for the Royal Rangers at the Indian Revival Center. As Dave decided to retire, family returned home to Rainy Mountain/Mountain View. Dave worked for Sherman and Riverside Indian Schools while retired to help young people adjust similar to what he experienced. Dave also wanted to help promote Kiowa voters to participate with issues and leadership. As he became more involved with voter registration, he attended the KIC meetings and decided to run for KBC in 2006. He served a couple of terms as part of the KBC and also as part of the Legislator branch. He joined the Kiowa Gourd Clan and appreciated the honor as a member and participated with the Annual KGC camp every July 4th. During Dave's years in California and involvement with Sherman and Riverside, he shared his talents as a coach and counselor. He was proud to be a member of the Lil Red Church. Dave's heart was his family and extended Kiowa families. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
