Darrell Schmidt, 69, of Carnegie, OK passed away Friday, February 10th, 2012. He was born June 8th, 1942 to Alfred J. and Melba Rae (Skinner) Schmidt in Carnegie, OK. Darrell was a 1960 Carnegie High School graduate. He received a scholarship in Industrial Arts, at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Darrell married his best friend and the love of his life, Phyllis Clark, October 20, 1962 in Anadarko, OK. He lived in Ardmore, OK from 1979-1989 and moved back to Carnegie where he farmed south of town. Darrell enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a history buff and could fix anything. His favorite college football team was the Oklahoma Sooners. Darrell was a kind and loving person. He adored his children and grandchildren. He is missed greatly by his family and friends.
