Danny Hokett

Daniel "Danny" Patrick Hokett, 80, of Hobart, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully with his wife, Carolyn and his faithful dog, Mylee by his side on June 29, 2022, at his home.
Danny was born on November 22, 1941, to Lester Hokett and Carrie (Zills) Hokett in Hobart, Oklahoma. He grew up in the Koonkazachy Community and attended church at the Mount Tepee Baptist Church. Danny attended school in Lone Wolf, at the age of 15, his family moved to Artesia, New Mexico and he graduated from Artesia High School in 1961. He began his long career in the oilfield with Depco, Dekalb, and Devon, as a pumper, production foreman until he retired. After retirement, he spent many years as a consultant until he retired from that too. After retiring from the oilfield, he found a new passion for collecting and restoring old tractors.
In 1998, he met Carolyn VanAusdall, and they wed September 18, 1998, in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Returning to Hobart, Oklahoma after Danny retired. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Danny was preceded in death by his father Lester Hokett, mother Carrie Hokett, baby brother Lester N Hokett Jr., brother Donald Wayne Hokett, sister Carolyn Marney, stepsons Tony and Shawn King.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Hokett, son, Kevin Hokett and wife Tiffany, daughter Danielle Husselman and husband David, son Jody VanAusdall and wife April, Daughter Chara Spann and husband David, sister Barbara Doyle, sister Joann Hamilton and husband Robert, and brother Phillip Gene Hokett and wife Louella.
Grandchildren, Destiny Todd and husband Shawn, Coly Hokett and wife Lexi, Shanna Liles and husband Bryant, Danessa Dudley and fiance James, Tyler Dudley and wife Haley, Demrie Denson and companion George, Meagan and Lewis Bilyeu, Tommy and Eric Waite, Hannah Easley, Jeremiah Spann along with numerous great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.
