In Remembrance of Curtis M. Brower

Memorial services for Curtis M. Brower, 92, of Gracemont Oklahoma will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m at First Baptist Church Gracemont with Tony Hancock officiating. Burial: Gracemont Cemetery in Gracemont OK. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ray and Martha Funeral Home.

Curt was the thirteenth (13th) of fourteen (14) children, he was born May 13, 1925 in Gracemont, Oklahoma to the late Annie (Tefertiller) Brower and Charles Matthew Brower, and died Saturday, November 11, 2017 (Veterans Day) at his home in Gracemont, Oklahoma. Curt, resided in Gracemont, for the last 46 years. Curt, served in the US Navy from 12-24-1942 to 11-5-1945 on the USS Wintle Destroyer Escort. Curt also owned and operated Brower's Grocery and Hardware for many years until retirement. After retiring Curt bought a travel trailer and traveled the US with his wife Helen Brower for several years. During this time they enjoyed attending his Navy reunions and seeing his old Navy buddies. Curt, also enjoyed many things but some of his favorites included fishing, gardening, and drinking coffee with his brother Lynn and other friends at Brower's. The last several years Curt enjoyed watching the OKC Thunder and the Dallas Cowboys with his wife, Helen.

Kevin Lange and his wife Cindy;
Daughter's Laurie Dunsmoor and
Brenda Lange all of Gracemont Oklahoma;
Brother Lynn Brower of Gracemont OK;
Grandchildren, Lisa Dyer and her Husband Boe,
Clint Brower and his wife Stacy,
Kelley Kendrick and her husband Butch,
Jason Brower and his wife Misty,
Chris Brower and his wife Lisa,
Nick Brower and his wife Chelsea,
Jodie Dunsmoor,
Jackie Dunsmoor and his wife Tricia,
Kyle Lange, Jarim Dunsmoor,
Preston Lange and his wife Jamie,
Prairie Brower
and numerous (25ish) great grandkids, three (3) great great grandkids.


In addition to his parents, Curt was preceded in death by his first wife, Blanche (Whisenhunt) Brower; daughter, Beverly Brower; son Guy Brower; daughter Rhonda Lange; Granddaughter Kim DeVoge and two great grandsons Derek Brower and Christian Brower; Six Brothers, Six sisters, .
