CULLEN WILLIAM "BILL" CONNALLY, 86, of Anadarko, was born September 18, 1925, in Finley, Oklahoma to Ivan Edgar and Juanita (Riley) Connally. He passed from this life August 27, 2012, at Integris-Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City after a lengthy illness.
Bill married Pauline Allen August 21, 1948. He worked for years as a mechanic for several new car dealerships including Roy Hall Chevrolet in Anadarko until 1971 when he went to work for Western Farmers Electric Cooperative. Bill retired from W.F.E.C. in 1987.
He was a 32nd Degree Mason and was a 50 year member of Anadarko Lodge #21. He was a long-time member of Bethel Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School for many years and served on several committees. Bills main love was for his family and his church. He enjoyed wood-working, hunting, fishing, having coffee with his buddies and visiting with everyone he came in contact with (even at the mall while Pauline shopped).
Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister, Iva Wilson and a brother, Leon Connally.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline of the home; two sons, Dennis Connally of Carnegie and Paul Connally of Austrailia; seven grandchildren, Brian Connally of Anadarko, Chad Connally and Sam Connally both of Austrailia, Lacy Wilson of Taos, New Mexico, Marty Sanders of Stillwater, Travis Suttle of Arlington, Texas and Dr. Sara Suttle of Fort Worth, Texas; two great grandchildren, Calli Connally of Anadarko and Xavier Connally of Austrailia; one sister, Gen Huckleberry of California, two brothers, Dale Connally and his wife Marie of Prescott, Arizona and Wayne Connally and his wife Mary Ann of Anadarko; two brothers-in-law, Cecil Allen and his wife Ruby of California and Jim Allen and his wife of Chickasha; one sister-in-law Eva Nell Edwards and her husband B.J. of Midwest City, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 2 P.M., Friday, August 31, 2012 at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Glen Alley officiating. Burial will follow in the Memory Lane Cemetery under the direction of the Steverson Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to the Family Life Center at Bethel Baptist Church.
