Corena Faye Richardson

June 10, 1941 — March 31, 2014

Corena Richardson, 72, Hobart, was the second daughter of Norris and Marie Scrudder. She was born June 10, 1941. She lived in the Mt. View and Carnegie area until she graduated in 1959. She received a 2 year degree from Southwestern in Weatherford, OK. She met Ross Richardson at the Carnegie Fair on September 1,1960. It was a whirlwind courtship, and they were married May 27, 1961. She and Ross lived in several places but came back to Hobart to farm in 1975. During this time she worked at the First Baptist Church and Farm Bureau. She called Hobart home until 1987, when they felt called to help kids at the Baptist Children's Home and Boys' Ranch Town. In 1996, they moved back to Hobart once again. She passed away suddenly March 31, 2014 in Oklahoma City, OK.

She is survived by her husband: Ross Richardson of the home;
one son: Mike Richardson of Weatherford, OK;
two daughters: Susan and Richard Boyanton of Norman, OK;
Gayle and Curtis Hair of Oklahoma City;
five grandchildren: Ricky and Halie Boyanton of Edmond, OK; Katie Boyanton of Norman, OK; Tabitha and Todd Harris of Oklahoma City; Samuel Wilkins of Oklahoma City and Casey Hair of Oklahoma City.
two Great-Great Grandsons: Taner Boyanton and Douglas Harris.
two Sisters: Gwen and Don Wright of Bella Vista, AR,
Dana and Butch Rudder of Anadarko, OK,
one brother: Joe and Nelda Scrudder of Edmond, OK
one sister-in-law: Ann Scrudder of Mt. View, OK
one Uncle: Norlan and Ellie Scrudder of Park Hill, OK
one Aunt: Norma Jean Moore of Clinton, OK
numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norris and Marie Scrudder, and one brother, Max Scrudder.

Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 5, 2014
First Baptist Church, Hobart, OK
Officiating: Rev. Gary Baird
Burial will follow at the Hobart Rose Cemetery, Hobart, OK under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home of Hobart.
