Cody Lee Montgomery, passed away unexpectedly, at the young age of 32, in his home in Hobart, OK. Cody was born in Lawton, OK on May 7th, 1991 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital. He attended Lawton Public Schools: Douglas Elementary, Geronimo Road Elementary, MacArthur Middle School, and 2 years at MacArthur Senior High School. Cody graduated high school at the J.D. McCarty Center in Norman, OK and was under the amazing care of the staff who worked at the center.
Cody lived his adult life with his roommate and friend James George and was cared for by the extraordinary staff of Searchlight Inc. Cody had a special bond with his youngest sister Stephanie and her husband Thanatos; Cody's best friend and brother-in-law. Cody will be deeply missed by his mother Jody, all of his family ,friends, care givers and all who knew him. The one thing Cody loved almost OR more than his family and friends were food boxes. His favorites included Hamburger Helper, Graham Crackers, Crunch 'n Munch, and Popcorn! It was a rare sight to see Cody without a box or two in hand!

Sister Stormy Carter and husband Brandon Carter of Arma, KS. Sister Laura Staples and husband Dustin Staples of Franklin, KS. Youngest sister Stephanie Cameron-Stuart and husband Thanatos Cameron-Stuart of Oklahoma City, OK. Brothers David Dixon and Steven Dixon of Geronimo, OK. Sister Rebecca Torres and husband Jay Torres of Fort Stewart, GA. Brother Jonathon Dixon and fianc� Katie Palma of Lawton, OK. Sister Christine Crowe and husband Ricky Crowe of Girard, KS. Brother Kevin Chamberlain of Pendleton, OR. Grandfather John Hamilton and grandmother Rose Hamilton of Clinton, AR. Grandfather Carl Stearns and Grandmother Gloria Stearns of Cleveland, OH. Grandfather Joseph Montgomery and wife Sufang Montgomery of Belington, WA. His favorite uncle Jack Montgomery and wife Amber Montgomery of Forest City, AR. Former stepfather Steven DeRosa of Medicine Park, OK. Amazing extended family members and in-laws of youngest sister, Stephanie. They include Spencer Cameron-Stuart of Oklahoma City, OK. Jennifer Maessen of Lawton, OK. Marian Olson of Oklahoma City, OK. Kae Mercadante of Lawton, OK. He is also survived by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, family friends, nieces and nephews. Cody is preceded in death by his grandmother Audrey Hamilton , grandmother Diane DeRosa, and grandmother Joy Crandall and great grandmother (Granny) Emily Babich.
A memorial service will be held at:
Cameron Baptist Church, Lawton, OK at 2pm Saturday the 17th of June 2023
A celebration of life and final resting place will be in Clinton, AR on Wolverton Mountain.
