Cleta LaRue (Turner) Ataddlety, 69, passed away on September 15, 2023 at home surrounded by her family in Anadarko, OK. She was born on September 14, 1954 to George and Winona (Miller) Turner in Lawton, OK
Cleta attended and graduated from Anadarko High School in 1972. She had a chance to attend Dartmouth University but declined to stay home and attended Bacone college in Muskogee, OK. In recent years she planned on going back to college. She loved her Wichita people. Cleta contributed and accomplished many things for her tribe as a former employee and elected leader and continued dedication as a tradition bearer of our people as an honored elder. She worked for Hollytex, DHS, Wichita tribe, Southwest Youth Family Services, and homemaker.
She met and married the love of her life, Clyford Ataddlety on January 16, 1993 at the First Caddo Baptist Church, Fort Cobb, OK. They were blessed with Alan Adair, Alex Turner, Allyson Adair, Joey Ataddlety, Alan Ataddlety, Clarissa Ataddlety, Reva Ataddlety, Colinda Ataddlety, Durand Ataddlety, Cornell Ataddlety and Nolan Johnson.
Cleta loved spending time with her family, gardening, casino, reading, cookouts, buying unnecessary stuff and watching old 80's TV shows.
She was preceded by her: parents, George and Winona; husband, Clyford.
