Cleo Kodaseet

Cleo Kodaseet, 93 of Carnegie, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on June 5, 2023 at the Carnegie Hospital. He was born on January 30, 1930 to Lee "Em-tau-ke-heal" and Emma "Emquo-nah" Kodaseet in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Cleo grew up and attended school in Carnegie, graduating from Mountain View High School in 1948. He Married Nona Marie Ahhaitty on November 10, 1966, in the Little Red Church in Carnegie. Cleo entered into the United States Army at the age of 21 and served with honor from April 3, 1951 and was Discharged on 27 Feb 54 from Camp Carson Colorado. He served a total of 2 years 10 months and 25 days. Including 1 year, 2 months and 12 days during the Korean war. Cleo was a field Artillery man and was assigned to C Battery, 213th Field Artillery Battalion, he earned the rank of CPL (E4). His awards include the United Nations Service medal, the Korean Service Medal with 2 campaign stars, The National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal. After Cleo was Honorably discharged he worked as a Carpet Inspector, retiring after 29 years. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
