January 25, 1923 — May 23, 2014

Cleo Annamay Blalock, 91, of Anadarko, was born January 25, 1923, in Carnegie, Oklahoma, to Leavie and Eula May (Kinnard) Dyer. She passed into heaven on May 23, 2014 at the Corn Heritage Village in Corn, Oklahoma.
Cleo graduated from Carnegie High School and then went to beauty college. She was beautician for many years owning her own shops. On February 3, 1945 she married David Blalock in Anadarko.
When her husband was called to the ministry, she became “Miz Preacherâ€, a title she felt blessed to have for 60 years. Cleo and David served churches located in Colorado, Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma before retiring. They also did mission work in the far northern United States.
She was a wonderful Sunday School teacher and loved her young adult classes, many of whom are here today. She was an accomplished poet and had written two books “Miz Preacher Meditates†and “Miz Preacher Reminiscesâ€, telling of her experiences while serving with her husband in God's ministry.
Cleo was a prayer warrior. She had direct line to the Lord and her answer for every problem was just four words “Just pray about itâ€.
Her home was always open to everyone and her happiest times were when her family was all together and she was cooking for them. Of course, she was best known for her delicious homemade pies, which she shared with anyone and everyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Alma Griffith and one brother, Glen Dyer.
