Cirilo Salazar, 71, was born on July 9, 1949 to Eugenio and Benita (Alvarez) Salazar in Las Adjuntas Del Monte, Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato, Mexico. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, on January 22, 2021 at his home in Carnegie, Oklahoma.
Cirilo came to Oklahoma City in 1965, working numerous jobs in construction. Those jobs took him to various locations throughout southwest Oklahoma, before he decided to settle in Carnegie, Oklahoma during the summer of 1980. During this time, he began his passion of working as a rancher for over thirty years before retiring. During this time, he developed long lasting bonds with many people, including Eugene Zimmerman.
Cirilo married his best friend and the love of his life, Micaela Martinez, on January 18, 1968. This union was blessed with nine children.
