On Friday December 2, Christopher Walden Sanchez unexpectedly passed away at the age of 56.
Chris was born on April 29, 1966 in Ozona Texas of Crocket County to the Late Jesus Longoria Sanchez and Genevieve Janelle Ware Sanchez. Chris grew up in Carnegie Oklahoma and graduated from Carnegie High School in 1984. He went directly into the United States Marine Corp where he served our country for 4 years. After an Honorable discharge, he started Truck Driving School and earned his CDL. Chris then began his lifelong truck driving career as a driver and a mechanic for over 30 years.
In 1987 Chris started a family where he brought into this world his 3 oldest children-- Phillip Cory Jesus Sanchez, Christian Sanchez, Jesse De Sanchez. On July 28, 1998, Chris met the love of his life, Elana Anquoe. On January 30, 2016, they were married in Blanchard, Oklahoma. With this union came Jakobie Lane Sanchez, B.J. Joe and Payton Joe.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, Jesus Longoria Sanchez, his mother, Genevieve Janelle Ware Sanchez, his sister, Nancy Kay Proctor, his nephew, John Michael Svitak, and, his cousin, Kevin Koomsa.
He is survived by his wife, Elana of the home, children Phillip and his wife Kiowa, and their children Zane and Abel Dupoint and Lukas Sanchez of Chickasha, Christian and his wife Kristel and their children, Mariah Rose Sanchez, Ahnia and Sa'real Maxwell and Timothy West of Moore, Jesse De and wife Jamie and their children Jesse Jr. Jazelle, Josiah, James, Jesus, Jessenia and Jenesis Sanchez of Oklahoma City, OK and Jakobie Lane Sanchez of the home in Oklahoma City, OK, Payton Joe and daughter Amia Tahsequah of Oklahoma City, OK, Benedict Joe of Oklahoma City, OK, Terri Joy Salazar of Carnegie, Jayla Mejia of Lawton, and Alexa Skye Creepingbear of Oklahoma City, OK. Chris is also survived by his two brothers Robert Burcum of Carnegie and Cedric Sanchez of Anadarko, his 4 sisters and their spouses Ivy Yeahquo and Timothy of Newcastle, Robbin Sanders and Brett of Anadarko, Janice Sanchez of Anadarko and Dorothy Proctor of Lawton and 1 aunt, Frances Bailey of Carnegie.
Chris enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved camping, fishing, motorcycle riding, watching the Dallas Cowboys and OU Sooners and most of all he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
