Charlotte O Venable

Funeral service for Charlotte O. Venable, 90 of Anadarko, Oklahoma will be Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Christian Fellowship in Anadarko, Oklahoma. She passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Charlotte was born March 26, 1927 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to William Adolph and Ruth (Proffit) Nowland. She married Wayne A. Venable, who preceded her in death in 2009, on August 14, 1948. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1948 with her bachelors degree. She began a teaching career of twenty five years in Home economics beginning in Gracemont and ended up in Anadarko retiring in 1973.

She was a member of the Methodist Church. Her goal in life was family and ranching.

She is survived by 2 sons:
Dub and wife Gayle Venable of Anadarko, Oklahoma
Rick Venable of Anadarko, Oklahoma
Grandchildren:
Cody Venable of Tulsa, Oklahoma,
Ashley Oswald of Binger, Oklahoma;
Chelsea Venable-Cooper and husband Michael of Anadarko, Oklahoma;
Brent Venable and wife Jasmine of Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma.

Josalyn Venable
Duke Cooper
Legend Cooper
Boone Venable
A host of nieces and nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by here parents, husband Wayne A. Venable, sister Blanche Nowland and many brother and sister-n-laws.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace Christian Church Anadarko Building Fund.

Visitation will be:
Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and
Monday, March 12, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Funeral Service will be:
10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2018
Grace Christian Fellowship in Anadarko, Oklahoma with Rev. Ted Mercer officiating.
Burial will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko, Oklahoma
