Charles Owen Henderson

Charles O. "Chuck" Henderson, 73, of Hobart, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 12, 2014, after a short illness. He was born April 19, 1941 in Duncan, Oklahoma, to Jack and Nellie (Foster) Henderson.. He grew up east of Marlow, OK and graduated Doyle High School. The next day he was off to San Diego and served with the U.S. Navy 1959 - 1968 and served in Vietnam 1967-1968. He then worked five years at Jiggs in Cordell. Chuck joined the Coast Guard in 1973 and retired September 1, 1984 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. He married Audie Ruth Young on February 23, 1963 in Washington D. C. They lived in Cordell many years before moving to Hobart 3 years ago. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and DAV

one son, Jason Henderson and wife Michelle, Weatherford, OK
eight grandchildren: Brandon Gaddy, Bryson Jones, Holden Jones, Jackson Jones,
Trevor Gaddy, Logan Jones, Hannah Jones and Alina Henderson.
one brother: Jack Henderson and wife Annelle, Hobart, OK
two sisters: Doris Gatlin and husband, James, Mobeeti, TX
Ida Miles, Hobart, OK

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, T. R. and Howard and a son-in-law, Thomas Pederson.

Burial will follow in the Hobart Rose Cemetery under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home,
Hobart, OK.
