Carroll Bunch

April 14, 1925 — December 28, 2016

Carroll June Bunch, a longtime resident of Anadarko, was born on April 14, 1925 in Oklahoma City, Ok and died on December 28, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Frances Records Bunch as well as by his brother Dean and his sister Eileen. He is survived by 2 nephews, Gary Bunch of Mississippi and Mark Throckmorton of California, 3 nieces, Sherrie Throckmorton Davis of Kansas, Deanna Bunch Stevenson of Georgia, and Karen Bunch Walker of Mississippi, and their families.
He graduated from Mustang High School and later attended Blackwood-Davis Business College in Oklahoma City. He lived on a farm south of Anadarko with his parents for years and then lived and worked in Oklahoma City as a bookkeeper for 8 years. He returned to Anadarko when his father became ill and his mother needed help with the duties of farm life. After his father's death, Frances and Carroll moved into town and he worked for many years at Western Electric in Anadarko. After his retirement he was an active volunteer at Sunset Elementary near his home. He enjoyed interacting with the teachers there as well as visiting with the children and listening to them read. He delighted in growing flowers and vegetables, often producing very large specimens. Carroll was a faithful member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Carroll loved his family and became the family historian, collecting genealogical information as well as compiling photo albums for family members. His family loved him and rejoiced in his generous spirit and loving heart.


Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, January 3, 10:00am at Memory Lane Cemetery Anadarko Ok
