Carrie Diane Haywood-Hunter 69, of Anadarko, OK was granted her angel wings on Friday, August 2, 2024 at the Physicians Hospital in Anadarko, Oklahoma. She was born July 6, 1955 in Anadarko, OK to George Cardell and Etta V. (Shelton) Haywood. Carrie graduated from Anadarko High School in 1973. She played in the band was in the Pep Club and FHA. She worked at Sequoyah Mills, Maremont Corporation, Silvercrest Manor, Friendship Manor, Glenhaven Nursing Home and Carnegie Nursing. She was known for always helping others. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Greater First Baptist Church where she served as an usher at one time. She and Johnny Hunter were married November 3, 2008 in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Carrie loved and appreciated her family and would make a point to tell them she loved them as often as possible, sometimes with a big hug. Her departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who loved her deeply. Her gentle smile brought so much joy to her family and friends. Carrie was a joy to know and to be around. She loved going to the casino, playing cards and dominoes. Carrie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, paternal grandparents, Jake and Francis Haywood; maternal grandparents, Burrell Shelton and Jessie (Jenkins) Johnson; brothers George (Coney) Haywood and Otis Charles Haywood; sisters, Joanne Perry and Francene Walker; nieces Ladonna (King) Pendarvis, Anteesha Walker and Laci Haywood; and nephew, Anthony Haywood. Carrie leaves to cherish her memory, 3 sisters, Twila King and Priscilla Haywood both of Anadarko; Ruthie (Henry) Wilkinson of Lawton, OK stepchildren, Timothy Graham of Tatums, OK, Jason (Sophia) Hunter and their children Jaden, Sania, Serenity and Jer-emiah; son Johnny Hunter, Jr.; and his children, David Jay, Micah Daniel and Johnny Ray, Jr.; four brothers in laws, Roy Lee Johnson (Michelle), Freddie Thompson (Shauna), Gary Thompson, and Kenneth Thompson, (Leticia), three sisters in law, Dorothy Haywood, Mary Hawley and Jenny McSwain, nieces, Evelyn Esposito, Renae Per-ry, Glenda McClanahan, Capria Haywood, Dr. Tavia (Timothy) Drummond; nephews, Chuckie King, Paul Haywood, George (ConeCone) Seneca Haywood, Corwin Walker, and Henry LeeOndre' Wilkinson, many great nieces and nephews cousins and friends and a special friend, Barbara Caskey.
