Carolyn Elizabeth Bilyeu was born on January 31, 1953, in Oklahoma City, OK. She passed from this life at the age of 71 on March 4, 2024, in Anadarko, OK.
Carolyn was raised in Chickasha, OK, where she attended Chickasha Public Schools. In 1970, she married Dennis Bilyeu, and they made their home in Anadarko, where they raised their two children, DJ and Jackie, and Carolyn's younger sister, Rita.
Carolyn attended nursing school at Caddo Kiowa Technology Center and received her nursing license in 1991. She worked as a nurse for thirty years as she loved helping others. Most of her nursing career was spent working at the Anadarko Hospital and at Dr. Juan Maldonado's Family Clinic.
Carolyn had a passion for life and loved to travel and explore, taking many road trips with her sister and grandchildren. Her favorite vacation spot was Graceland, as she adored Elvis Presley and amassed an impressive collection of Elvis memorabilia. In her younger years, Carolyn was an avid motorcyclist. In her later years, she enjoyed spending time with family and playing cards with her very special friends Essie, Margaret, and Mary. She was an active member of Grace Church in Anadarko for many years and cooked hundreds of meals for those in need.
Preceding her in death were her mother, Juanita Nieto, and her husband, Dennis Bilyeu.
Carolyn is survived by son, DJ Bilyeu, of Anadarko; daughter, Jackie Weston and husband Chris, of Piedmont; sister, Rita Williams and husband Paul, of Anadarko; brother, Leroy Nieto and wife Charlett of Chickasha; grandchildren Aaron Bilyeu and wife Melanie, of Chickasha, Evan Bilyeu, of Anadarko, Cam Rodgerson, of Anadarko, Cale Weston, of Piedmont; great-grandchildren Audrina Griffith, of Chickasha, Gabriella Bilyeu, of Anadarko; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
