Carol Ann Price

January 2, 1945 — December 7, 2022

Perry Allen Price (Pat) was born August 26, 1944 to James and Aldine Price of Cloud Chief, Oklahoma. Pat grew up in Cloud Chief with his sisters Peggy and Polly. After graduating from Cordell High School in 1962, he worked at the Clinton turkey plant. Upon deciding there had to be something better, he joined the US Army. He served thirteen months in Korea during his duty. After returning from Korea, he married Carol Ann Regier and they made their first home in Lawton,Ok.
Carol Ann (Regier) Price was born January 2, 1945 to Cornelius and Freda Regier. She was raised on the family farm on the banks of the Washita river. Carol was an only child, but grew up playing with cousins that became more like siblings. She graduated high school in 1963 from Cordell High School and went to Southwestern Oklahoma State College to earn a degree in Home Economics. Carol worked at Lawton schools as a Home Economics teacher after getting married.

Pat and Carol soon moved to Carol's family farm and began their farming and ranching career as well as starting their family. They had two children, a son Jim and a daughter Karrie. They were actively involved in their community serving as 4-H leaders, chaperoneing numerous ski trips, and volunteer coaching of pee-wee wrestling. Pat served on the Board of Directors for Kiwash Electric for many years.
They were very active members of the Herold Mennonite Church. Carol was the director of children's VBS for many years and was known for her unique and spirited children's sermons. They also served as representatives of the Mennonite Central Committee Relief Sale and enjoyed that role immensely.

In their later years, Pat and Carol never slowed down. Carol continued her love for sewing, cooking, and gardening, and shared that love with many young people. They enjoyed camping and fishing and the friends they met along the way. They were blessed with five grandchildren: Brett Price and wife Kodie, Morgen Price Trammell and husband Zane, Berkley Price Huiatt and husband Spencer, Jamie Stockton and Jessie Stockton.
They enjoyed every minute of being grandparents. They had a way of teaching kids of any age and made learning new things fun and exciting. Anything the kids were interested in, they were automatically interested as well. They were proud supporters of many sporting teams, very rarely missing any event. They were known to everyone as Papa and DeeDee. They were also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Tysen Trammell, Taos Trammell, Brodie Price, and Bryn Price.
Pat and Carol never met a stranger and had a gift of making everyone feel special. They were not afraid to open their home and welcomed many with open arms. Driving through their cattle was their favorite pastime and their happiest place on earth was on the farm.

Pat and Carol were known for being inseparable and enjoying life as a team. They celebrated 56 years of marriage in early November. Carol fought a long battle with cancer the last few years with Pat by her side every step of the hard road. Pat passed away suddenly on December 3 while caring for her in the Corn Nursing Home. He was surrounded by their son Jim, wife Dana and their children. Carol joined him on December 7, after a lengthy illness. They continued their teamwork and togetherness until the very end of their time here on earth.
