Carla Sue Grimes, 62, of Anadarko, was born July 2, 1952, to Alvin and Peggy (Hooten) White in Anadarko. She passed from this life July 13, 2014, at her home, west of Anadarko.
Carla graduated from Anadarko High School with the Class of 1970. Upon completing high school, she attended beauty college. Carla and Shirley Dinse later co-owned the Touch of Class Salon until the mid 80's. She then pursued a career in healthcare. Carla became an L.P.N. and worked in the health field until her own health issues limited her ability to stay on her feet for lengthy periods of time.
Carla loved everyone and had a soft spot for animals and children. Her family and friends were the light of her life. Carla received a kidney transplant from an angel in 2012. She has fought a long and diligent fight with various illnesses since then.
We weren't ready to let her go and she wasn't ready to go but the Lord in His infinite wisdom and timing called her to His Heavenly home. She will be so deeply missed by her loved ones that words cannot explain.
Preceding her in death was her parents, Al and Peggy White and a brother, Paul White.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Jake Grimes, of the home; one son, Brian Connally and his wife, Sheila; one brother, Keith White; one grandchild, Calli Sue Connally all of Anadarko; two sisters-in-law, Martha Grimes of Tulsa and Marcy Beatty of Anadarko; two nieces, Chelsea White of S.
