Cameron Duane Farson

Cameron Duane Farson, 23, of Anadarko, was born October 11, 1989, in Oklahoma City, to Terry Reed Farson and Tracey Redbird. He passed from this life on January 29, 2013 in Norman.
Cameron grew up in Anadarko and attended Anadarko Public Schools, graduating with the Class of 2008. His dream was to become a heat and air technician honoring his father's memory by following in his footsteps.
As a toddler, Cameron won several American Indian Exposition Beautiful Baby contests. His mother entered him in the contest every August until he reached the age of five. He also won the “America's Beautiful Baby†contest in 1991 and qualified for the state competition where he won 1st place in “western wear†category. He also started dancing with the Tiny Tots Straight Dancers and eventually became a Fancy Dancer with help from his uncle, Tuffy Chaino, and brother, Robby. At his first contest, held in Prarie, Texas, he won fourth place in the Fancy Dance category and surprised his mother and grandparents as they watched with pride. On his 10th birthday, Ruth Whitefox Redbird, his "Ahtaun,"(great grandmother) at her home, gave her brother's name (William Whitefox) to her little brother, Cameron. She called him Tane-A-Tho which means “Eagle Lodge.†At age 15, Cameron wanted a motorcycle. His grandfather (Herb Redbird) told he must learn four church songs and had to sing them inside the church to get what he desired. He would go to NAC meetings with his grandfather and practiced for a week. When it came time, Cameron sang the songs he had learned while his grandfather beat the drum for him. He got a Honda Rebel motorcycle just like Dad's.
Cameron had a passion for golf and loved playing video games with his brother, Ty. He also loved spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by, his father, Reed, baby brother, Presley Dylen Gabehart, maternal grandmother, Tillie Redbird and a special aunt Kasey Lyn Chaino.
