Callie Mae Davis entered this life on August 26, 1927, as a precious gift from God to Eddie Ray and Retter Mae (Elix) Holland in Roosevelt, Oklahoma. Callie graduated from the Dunbar School located in Hobart, Oklahoma. Callie accepted Jesus Christ early in her life and was baptized. She attended Emanuel Calvary Church, Callie cooked many Sunday Dinners at her home inviting the Pastor and his wife on special occassions. Callie also worked many years as a Cook for the local Lions Club, the Rotary Club and the County Club in Hobart, Oklahoma. Callie remembered for being a very compassionate and caring wife, a very supportive sister, and a very devoted mother, as well as an aunt, a niece, a cousin, and a friend.
Callie departed this life February 14, 2015, in Hobart, Oklahoma. Callie's grandfather Amos Joseph Elix, her grandmother Mary Ella Elix, her father Eddie Ray Holland, her mother Retter Mae Holland, her brother Otis Hudson Jr., her sister Pearlene Green, her son Michael Wayne Gipson, two daughters, Sharon Holiwell and Deborah Kay Holland, two grandsons Christopher Shawn Robinson, and Calvin Rashard Holland, and one great grandson Xavier Thomas and many relatives preceded her in death.
Cherishing her memory are the survivors two sisters, Dorothy Jeffries, Hobart, Oklahoma and Edna Ray Holland, Lawton, Oklahoma one daughter Pauline Timmons, Pearl Mississippi, three sons, Roger Holiwell, Lawton, Oklahoma, Reginald Holland, Hobart, Oklahoma, Rickey Holland, Woodward, Oklahoma, four grandchildren that she raised Clifford Holland, Lawton, Oklahoma , Courtney Holland, Hobart, Oklahoma, Katrina Holland, Lawton, Oklahoma, and Derrick Holland, Wichita Falls, Texas, two nephews, Donald Ray Calip and Cedric Crawford, 24 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, 17 great-great grandchildren, a host of cousins and friends.
