Bonnie Esther Giblet
(1965-2018)
Bonnie Esther Giblet was born April 30, 1965 in Rocky. She departed this world December 15, 2018 at her home in rural Rocky surrounded lovingly by family. She was 53.
Bonnie was the fourth of six children born to Doyle and Irene Sutton of Rocky. They grew up in a home dedicated to faith and family.
On September 5, 1983, Bonnie married the love of her life and her best friend, Jeff Giblet, also of Rocky. Together, they had two children - their firstborn, Quinton, and daughter, Kassandra. Then, between 2014 and 2017, the couple adopted five more children - Jessiah, Miranda, Kaylee, Joshua, and Alex - who range in age from five to 12.
Bonnie lived a life defined by love.
Throughout her life she found God - having been baptized March 12, 1978 - and hence love in the world around her, from the colorful flowers she raised outside her home to the beautiful songs emanated from her angelic voice. She also found God's hand through the lens of her trusty cameras, from majestic landscapes as far away as Canada to the images of loved ones captured in her own home.
Bonnie possessed the unique ability to always find the beauty in the things - and people - she encountered in life. In her walk, she sprinkled kindness and love wherever she went, always prepared to nurture others with a tender word or a sympathetic ear. Her smile alone was infectious and disarming.
As a child, Bonnie often watched her parents, grandparents, and older siblings gather around the piano after supper and sing their favorite tunes. In time, Bonnie blossomed into a beautiful singer - a gift shared by her sisters and numerous relatives. The sisters even formed a talented gospel group, and for decades filled their church and other venues of faith with memorable harmonies that praised the Lord..
Those closest to Bonnie were also familiar with her lighter side - one defined by a biting wit. She was a noted prankster who loved to laugh and make others smile, even in times of hardship. Bonnie also created a loving environment for her family, and every corner of her home is filled with her creativity and artwork that celebrates their life together. She always fostered a sense of togetherness, from campfire cookouts in the yard to impromptu ice cream suppers with her extended family and friends.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Jeff, of Rocky; son Quinton & wife, Jenna, of Cordell; daughter Kassandra Raleigh & husband, Brandon, of Cordell; sister Lori Huntzinger & husband, Larry, of Rocky; sister Pollyanna Byrd & husband, Nick, of Rocky; brother Marty Sutton & wife, Angie, of Indiana; brother Darrin Sutton & wife, Audra, of Wyoming; sister-in-laws Carrie Sutton of Cordell & Jeannine Mizel of Wyoming; and brother-in-law Weldon Dobbs of Rocky; and eleven grandchildren.
