Bobby Fanning

Bobby Ray Fanning, 90, of Anadarko, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 20, 2025, in Yukon, Oklahoma. He was born on January 2, 1935, to Thomas William and Margaret (Finch) Fanning in Purnell, Oklahoma. Bobby was raised by Josephine Fanning after the passing of his mother. He grew up and attended school in Graham, graduating from Graham High School in 1953. Bobby married the love of his life Emma Jean Fogle on October 8, 1954, in Graham, Oklahoma and they were blessed with 64 years of marriage. He received his master's degree from Oklahoma State University. Bobby was an excellent teacher and coached girls' basketball and volleyball. He left teaching and worked for Ford Tractor and Claas. He later sold cars and RVs in Kingston, Oklahoma where he and Emma made their home and retirement until he moved to Anadarko in 2021. He was an avid OSU and OU fan. Bobby enjoyed fishing when he wasn't working. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include: his son, Paul and wife Kris, of the home; son Mark and wife Sandy of Perkins, OK; son Renny of Binghamton, NY and daughter Beverly Hocker of Wills Point, TX; grandchildren: Russell Fanning and wife Melissa; Carter Fanning and husband AJ; Courtney Fanning; Cody Fanning; Nick Langilotti; Kyle Fanning; Heather Hocker; Halie King; Dalton Hocker and Shelby Hocker. Great-grandchildren: Benjamin, William, Claire, Allison, Dean, Karlee, Kenlie, TJ, Emaleigh, and Walker.

Preceded in death by: his parents, Thomas, Margaret, & Josephine Fanning; brother Tommy Fanning, and wife Emma.
