Blanche Pauline Post, 84, of Anadarko, was born May 18, 1930, in Weymouth, Massachusetts, to Allen and Ethyl (Webb) Lennox. She passed from this life on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, in Anadarko.
Blanche was raised in Weymouth, Massachusetts and attended public school there graduating with the class of 1949. After high school she married Peter Post and worked for Bell Telephone for six years. When their son, Stephen was born she became a “stay at home†mom. Mrs. Post later worked at a retail store and at an electronics manufacturer for a number of years, retiring in the mid 80's. She resided in Abington, Massachusetts before moving to Anadarko in 2011.
Her hobbies included knitting, crochet and collecting Ana Lee dolls and spoons. She loved to spend summers in Cape Cod at the “cottageâ€. Blanche also loved spending time with her grandchildren, going out to eat and in her younger days, roller skating. She was a member of T.O.P.S. (Take off pounds safely).
Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Mildred Gifford and Beatrice Thompson and one brother, Walter Lennox.
Survivors include, her husband Peter Post of Anadarko, her son Stephen Post of Apache; three grandchildren, Scott Daggett, Lisa Post and Stephen Post II and his wife Melody, all of Anadarko; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby Lennox of Pocasset, Massachusetts and Johnny Lennox of New Hampshire; former daughter- in-law, Michele Post of Anadarko and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1 P.M., Monday, December 15, 2014, in the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma under the Direction of the Steverson Funeral Home in Anadarko. Condolences may be left for the family at
