Billye Mae Powers

Billye Mae (Goodwyn) Powers, 94, passed away March 5, 2024 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born September 22, 1929, in Minco, OK to Niram Edgar and Brittie Mae (Avants) Goodwyn. Billye was the 6th child of 12 children.

In 1947 Billye married the love of her life, Caleb Powers. They were blessed with three children; Sharon Arlene, Tommy Lee, and Randy Rene'.

Billye retired from Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha, OK after working several years in the housekeeping department. She then joined the Foster Grandparent Program with Anadarko Public Schools and began to work with many young children. In 2016 due to health issues, she left the position that she loved so much and retired.

Billye was a charter member of Square Top Baptist Church at Anadarko, OK. Sunday school and church services were held in her and other family homes in the beginning She was a faithful Prayer Warrior for her family and dear friends. Billye was looking forward to be going to her heavenly home to be with Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Caleb; parents, Niram and
Brittie Goodwyn; sons: Tommy Lee Powers, and Randy Rene' Powers
