Bill Williams, 79, Hobart, Oklahoma passed away, Tuesday, December 6th, 2011 at Elkview General Hospital. He was born in Cloud Chief, OK, February 15, 1932 to Walter J. and Verna ( Carroll) Williams. Bill attended school at Gotebo, OK. On May 24, 1950 he married June Fields at Roosevelt, OK.
Bill worked with Public Service Company for thirty years before retiring. After retirement, he volunteered many hours as founder and curator of the Kiowa County Museum. He was a member of the Hobart Lions Club, Antique Tractor Club and the Classic Car Club as well as being an active member and deacon of the First Baptist Church, Hobart, OK. Bill loved to restore antique furniture, fish and tend to his long horn cattle. He loved to spend time with his children and grand children. Bill was Hobart Chamber of Commerce's Citizen of the Year in 1993

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Tommy, J. I. and Dale Williams; sister Wynona Block.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the First Baptist Church, Hobart, OK
with Rev. Keith Wiginton and Rev. Kelly Smith, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hobart Rose Cemetery
under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Hobart, OK
