Billy Hamlett

Billy Hamlett, 72, of Hobart, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, July 10th, 2016. He was born on March 8, 1944, in Simpson, Oklahoma to William Richard and Alma (Jackson) Hamlett. As a kid he attend schools and grew up around the Roosevelt area. He married the love of his life Wanda Lee Gilley on July 5th, 1964 in Hobart, Oklahoma. They were married for 49 years until she preceded him in death May 23, 2014. Billy worked for Braun & Son Implement since 1965. He was a master versatile mechanic second to none.

Billy is survived by three sons;
Daniel Hamlett and wife Tracy, Dill City, Oklahoma,
David Hamlett and wife Vickie, Hobart, Oklahoma,
James Hamlett and wife Laurie, Hobart, Oklahoma,
one daughter; Tammy Hamlett, Hobart, Oklahoma,
three brothers; J.D. Hamlett,
Delbert Hamlett and wife Linda,
Floyd Hamlett and wife Robin
One sister; Ann Maxey and husband Randy
20 grandchildren & 20 great-grandchildren
as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife Wanda Hamlett, his parents, two brothers; Troy Hamlett and Elbert Hamlett, and two sisters; Faye Hamlett and Mary Schrock.

A Funeral Service for Billy Hamlett will be held at the Calvary Life Assembly of God church in Hobart at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 16th, 2016. Reverend Joe Jackson will be officiating. Interment will follow at Hobart Rose Cemetery, Hobart, Oklahoma.
Services are under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home.
