Billie Joe Smith Sr. was born on November 6th, 1941 to Robert Taylor Smith and Floy Leola Ment Leisure in Carnegie, Oklahoma. After many beautiful years, Billie left this earth on July 9th, 2023. Billie attended Carnegie High School and at the age of 18, enlisted in the Army where he served our country for three years, one of which was spent overseas. After an honorable discharge, Billie sculpted his life around his work and family. Billie tried his hand at many jobs including Emergency Medical Technician, mechanic, and even owned his own lawncare business. Billie was a jack-of-all-trades and good at all of them. In his spare time, Billie loved to do woodworking in his shop, building things like birdhouses.
