Betty Lou Hardwick

July 10, 1925 — March 21, 2011

Betty Hardwick, 85, long-time Hobart resident passed away on Monday, March 21, 2011 in the Corn Heritage Village at Corn, OK. She was born July 10, 1925 in Rocky, OK to John Groen and Jennie (Sandersfeld) Swart. Betty graduated from Rocky High School. She married Nolan Hardwick on
October 8, 1945 in Vernon, TX. They moved to Hobart in 1956 and she worked many years in the Hobart Public School cafeterias. Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Nolan of the home

Kenneth Hardwick and wife Becky, Norman, OK
Randy Hardwick, Howe, TX
2 daughters: Barbara Collier and husband, Bob, Euless, TX
Marcia Miller and husband Terry, Daphne, AL
13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren
1 sister, Pearl Wygle and husband Ray, Lewisville, TX

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Richard and 2 grandchildren










Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2011
First Baptist Church, Hobart, OK
Burial: Lone Star Cemetery, Rocky, OK

Under the direction of Ray and Martha's Funeral Home of Hobart, OK.
