Betty Marie Buie

Betty Marie Buie was born on October 5th, 1938, to Herman and Alta Deonier. She passed away on January 15th, 2023. Betty grew up here in Carnegie and graduated from Carnegie High School then went on to beauty school, where she learned to be a hairstylist. Betty then managed a hair salon for over 30 years.

Betty enjoyed "going thrifting" and working in her flower beds that were always filled with her flowers, plants, trinkets and whirlybirds. One of Betty's favorite plants was the poinsettia, which she would keep beautiful for months after the holidays!

Betty's favorite thing in life, however, was to spend time with her family. She was always the "best mom in the neighborhood". To know her was to love her!!!

Betty is survived by her sons James and Jerry, daughter-in-law Kim, grandsons Jonathan, Joey and Kyle, and Rick Whiteman.
