Betty Sue Betche

December 3, 1934 — July 25, 2011

Betty Sue (Kenner) Betche, 76, was born December 3, 1934, in Elk City, OK to Frank "Sike" and Lovey Marie (Schooler) Kenner. She was raised on a farm north of Elk City and graduated from Elk City High School and Southwestern State College in Weatherford. She passed from this life on July 25, 2011 in Cordell, OK. Betty was a member of the Northside Church of Christ, Cordell, OK. On August 20, 1955, Betty Sue married Charles William Betche. They made their home on a farm in the Lake Valley Community north of Gotebo where Betty Sue enjoyed her family, playing the piano, singing, vegetable gardening and her pets. Her greatest satisfaction seemed to come from watching her students learn. She taught third and fourth grades for the Cooperton, Gotebo, and Mtn. View-Gotebo School districts, retiring after 30 years of service.
Betty Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law Harry Betche and her brother-in-law Roger Hulett.
She is survived by her husband, Charles, of the home
Daughter, Mary Lena Burrows and husband, Geary Don of Sayre, OK, Grandchildren, Chad Burrows and wife, Keri of Sayre and Christie Swann and husband, Andy of Enid, OK and three great- grandchildren, Austin, Maggie, and Addison
She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Hazel Betche, Gotebo, OK and sister-in-law, Rilma Hulett, Bethany, OK; three nephews, Ted, Terry and Greg Hulett and her neighbor and friend, Kathy Robinson.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 29, 2011 at the Northside Church of Christ, Cordell, OK with burial to follow in the Odessa Cemetery, north of Gotebo, under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Hobart, OK
