BETTIE EDITH MATLOCK, 69, of Anadarko, was born January 26, 1943, in Berkeley, California to Leo Alfa and Edyth Pama (Pack) Henderson. She passed from this life on Wednesday, June 14, 2012, In Chickasha.
Bettie graduated from Stagg High School in Stockton, California in 1960. She then Attended Stockton Junior College where she received her Associate's Degree in business. Later she moved to Oklahoma where she obtained a position at Caddo County Abstract. Bettie worked for almost 16 years. In the early 80's, she obtained a position with the Federal Land Bank where she worked until her retirement in January of 1990.
Bettie was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and enjoyed the fellowship of her sorority sisters. She also enjoyed folk painting, sewing, crocheting, reading and making jewelry.
Preceding Bettie in death by her parents and one infant brother, Roy Lee.
Survivors include her husband, Leroy; a son, Johnny and his wife, Cindy of Tuttle; three daughters, Kay Dane and her husband, Louis of Sand Springs, Sandi Snider and her husband, Jay and Tammy love and her husband, Leslie of Edmond; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; two cousins, Kathy Garland and her husband, John and Harlen Henderson and his wife, Diane of Hinton and an uncle, Audie Pack and his wife, Pearl of Bethany.
The funeral will be at 10 A.M., Saturday, June 16, 2012, in the Steverson Funeral Home Chapel with her son-in-law, Louis Dane, officiating. Burial will follow in the Memory Lane Cemetery under the direction of the Steverson Funeral Home.
