Bernie Laverne "RedFeather" Toyekoyah Sr. 78 years old was born June 21, 1938 to William Daugomah and Evaline Komalty Toyekoyah. Bernie passed away August 28, 2016 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Bernie attended Samone School and Carnegie School He worked various jobs in Dallas. Kiowa Tribe Fastrans for several years. He transported Kiowa Tribe Fire Fighters, Indian Health OEH Service in Lawton, Oklahoma.
He enjoyed the yearly Domino Tournament in Carnegie, sitting and singing at the drum at the various pow-wows and being with drum partners.
Bernie's hobbies included Making drum sticks, miniature featherwork, going to the casino with his wife and coaching fast pitch softball. He loved attending church and praising the Lord.

Great Grandchildren: Veree Nadine Pacheco, Bryce Carter, and Dalon Mathew Lee and Matthew James.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Evaline Komalty Toyekoyah, his father William Daugomah, his grandparents Harry & Ellen Komalty Toyekoyah, One sister, Joyce Daugomah Overland. Two Children, Jerry James "Opie" Toyekoyah, Karen Nadine Toyekoyah Worcester, and his grandson, Mathew Alan "MattMatt" Toyekoyah.
Wake services will be Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 7:00 PM at Red Buffalo Hall, Carnegie, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Red Buffalo Hall, Carnegie, Oklahoma.
Interment will be at ElkCreek Cemetery at Hobart, Oklahoma.
