Belva Joyce Moseley

August 19, 1925 — December 27, 2017

Joyce Knight Moseley and her twin sister were born to Dexter and Mabel Knight August 19, 1925 in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma. She passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Signal Mtn. Tennessee. The family moved to Mountain View in 1935. She was a 1943 graduate of Mountain View High School.
Joyce continued her education at Oklahoma College for Women (OCW), at Chickasha, where she was a member of Sigma Delta Sorority and obtained a degree in biology in 1947. Following graduation, she returned to Mountain View and was employed by her parents as a bookkeeper at Knight & Weidenmaier Department Store. On February 26, 1950, she married Billy Van Moseley. During their married life, they lived six years in Germany; Japan for 3 years as well as various places in the United States during Bill's 21-year Air Force career. During this time, Joyce's hobby of painting, resulted withher art work being featured ingalleries and shows in Oklahoma City. Following Bill's retirement, the couple returned to Mountain View where Joyce volunteered at the Addie Davis Memorial Library, and served on the board. She was also an active member of the Twentieth Century Club. Following Bill's death, Joyce moved to Signal Mtn., Tennessee, where she resided until her death.

Amy Garvich and husband Michael of Signal Mtn., TN;
Donica Romeo, Fresno, California;
Steven Romeo and wife Maricela, Dallas, TX,
and Domenic Romeo and wife Kaylee, Tulsa, OK.
Great-great-nieces and nephews;
Maddy Young, Ahna Herrera, Ehma Herrera, Chance Garvich,
Hadley Garvich, Natalie Romeo, Nicholas Romeo, Brian Gillette, Regan Gillette,
and Emma Gillette.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents Dexter and Mabel Knight, her twin sister Joan Kinney and her husband Dick, and niece Jolanda Gillette.
