Barton Wayne Baker, Sr.

Comander 05 (Ret) Barton Wayne Baker, Sr., 62, passed away at his home in Eufaula, OK on Thursday, May 24th, 2012. He was born January 21, 1950 in Hobart, OK to Barton Winford and Wanda Louise (Evans) Baker. He graduated from Gotebo High School and Southwestern State College in Weatherford. Barton Wayne was a Registered Pharmacist and served with the United States Public Health Service and U.S. Navy. He retired in Lawton, OK in 2003 after serving 30 years. He married Janice Friesen on May 3, 1969.

his Father, Barton Baker and wife Nina, Hobart, OK
one brother: David E. Baker and Pattie, Eufaula, OK
one sister, Elizabeth Johns and husband Wilbur, Anadarko, OK
4 grandchildren: Shelby and Shae Baker
Brittany and Kyle Cooper
two great-grandchildren: Keegan and Kyan Cooper
seven nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Louise Baker, sister, Cynthia Louise Beadles, grand-daughter-in-law, Meagan Cooper.


Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 29th, 2012
Washington Street Baptist Church, Hobart, OK
Ministers officiating: Rev. Henry Lamb and Rev. Chris Block, pastor

Burial will follow in the Odessa Cemetery northwest of Gotebo, OK under the direction of Ray and Martha's Funeral Home of Hobart, OK
