Barbara LaJoy Scarberry, 81, passed away on May 30th, 2016. She was born on November 17, 1934, in Geronimo, Oklahoma, to James Marvin and Lillian (Cantrell) Brown. She attended high school in Plainview, Texas. She married Tommy Scarberry on March 5, 1952. She spent two years as an Licensed Vocational Nurse at the Lockney General Hospital in Lockney, Texas, later moving to Oklahoma City in 1968. From 1968 to 1996, she worked as a LPN at St. Anthony's Hospital before retiring.
She is survived by three daughters; Belinda Kay Hinkle, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma,
Lou Smith, Alex, Oklahoma,
Ann Burleson and husband Ray, Eufala, Oklahoma,
eight grandchildren; Randy and wife Lorna Scarberry, Bethel Acres, Oklahoma,
Stacie and husband David Coker, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma,
Neil and wife Liz Howe, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma,
Sara and husband Justin Williams, Blanchard, Oklahoma,
Robert Hall, Enid, Oklahoma,
Heather Scarberry, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma,
William and wife Rachelle Richey, Guthrie, Oklahoma,
Stephanie and husband Aaron Lock, Oklahoma City,OK
thirteen great grandchildren,
three sisters; Jackie James and husband, Arizona,
Annis and husband Clifford Hallum, Eunice, Louisiana,
Betty and husband Mike Boaz, Gainesville, Texas,
as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters; Florence Fry, Patsy Jordan, Bonnie Nowlin, Iona Dell Brown, two brothers; Donnie Brown and Carroll Hubbard, and two great-grandchildren.
