Barbara Louise Jones Montgomery
Mrs. Montgomery was born November 20, 1936 in Pickwick, Tennessee. She died January 19, 2015 in Edmond.
She was graduated from Carter High School, Ft. Worth, Texas in 1954, the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1958, and The University of Houston with a Master of Science in psychology in 1978.
Mrs. Montgomery was a research associate in the Life Sciences Laboratory at the Johnson Space Center, NASA in Houston. She also served as an educational liaison to the Saudi Arabian Consulate, also in Houston.
She was an accomplished thespian in both high school and college winning numerous awards for her roles in theater. A self-made authority on World War II history, Mrs. Montgomery was passionate about reading, building a comprehensive library on history, and loved a good whodunit mystery novel.
Mrs. Montgomery was a lifelong friend and wife of her husband Bob and very involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren.
She was the daughter of the late John Paul Jones and the late Tinney Lois Graham Jones.
Mrs. Montgomery is survived by sons, Robert Place Montgomery III and wife, Anne, John Paul Montgomery and wife, Amy, and a daughter, Molly Ann Montgomery Zeitler and husband, Jon.
She is also survived by grandchildren, Robert Place Montgomery IV, Megan Anne Whobrey and husband, Zane, Graham Clark Montgomery and wife, Abi, Myra Lee Luedecke and husband, Jacob, Katelyn Louise Montgomery, David Place Montgomery, Zoe Elizabeth Zeitler, and Rebecca Elaine Zeitler.
