Barbara Dalke

"Barbara Lee Dalke, 85, of Hobart, Oklahoma, passed away July 27, 2019. She was born in Kingfisher, Oklahoma on September 6, 1933 to William Harrison and Ruth (Williams) Newer. Barbara married Phillip Howard Dalke on October 4, 1953 in Geary, Oklahoma, and he preceded her in death on July 23, 2002. Barbara worked as a receptionist for Dr. Finch for many years and later worked as a secretary for Hobart High School. She taught Sunday school at Hobart United Methodist Church for over thirty years; served on the Hobart Beautification Committee; and played countless rounds of golf at Hobart Country Club. Barbara passes on an invaluable legacy of faith to her family and friends. She maintained a grateful attitude and strong, loving spirit; and if she caught herself complaining, she would immediately start to list her blessings instead. The most significant evidence of her faith is that she didn't fear death at all. Barbara loved Jesus and spent everyday living, walking, and talking with him. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

2 sons: Bill Dalke & wife Kay of Norman, OK
Larry Dalke & wife Amy of Richmond, TX
1 brother: John Newer of Butler, OK
11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Phil Dalke, brother Billy Newer, and sister Ruth Ann Turner.
