Baldemar Hernandez Sr.
January 26, 1937 - June 6, 2022
Monday, June 6 at 5:53 AM Jesus called our dad, grandfather and brother-in-Christ home to be with him.
Baldemar was born on January 26 to Pedro and Refugia "Cuca" Hernandez in San Francisco, Tamaulipas Mexico. He was the baby boy of 10 siblings, 5 brothers and 5 sisters, fondly known to them as Marito.
Baldemar soon came to the United States where he met and married his love, Amalia on July 1, 1958. To this union six sons were born. Baldemar and Amalia moved to Hobart in the year of 1960 with their sons Baldemar Jr and Rogelio. They fell in love with the community and soon decided Hobart was home. They then added Oscar, Rene and Noe to their family. He provided for his family and always kept busy. He worked as a farm labor, a custodian for Hobart Public Schools, in construction and later retired as a preacher at the church where he was saved.
Baldemar loved his family. He found joy in dancing with each one of his grandkids, great grandkids and even got to dance with his great~ great granddaughter. He loved Jesus. He loved to play the guitar. He loved to share his testimony of how he became a Christian.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, his infant son, Rene Hernandez, five brothers and three sisters.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years, Amalia. They're five son's and spouses, Baldemar and Esther of Alvin, Texas -Rogelio Hernandez of Lawton, OK - Oscar and companion, Linda of Bridgeport, Oklahoma, Rene and Ada and Noe and Rachel also of Hobart. His grandchildren and dance partners, Angela Eardman, Valerie Gomez, Baldemar "Josue" Hernandez, Santiago Rene Hernandez, Ricky Ramirez, Christina Sanchez, Amanda, Sarah, Alex, Ricky, Isiah, Marissa and Naomi Hernandez. 21 great grandchildren and one great ~great granddaughter. In lieu of flowers you can make a donation to the church of your choice in his honor.
