A.V. Maldonado, 87, of Hobart, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on December 1, 2016. A.V. was born in Tivoli, Texas on May 12, 1929 to Cipriano and Inocencia Maldonado. A.V. fell in love and married Amanda Salinas Maldonado on February 12, 1953.
A.V. was a carpenter by trade many years in Hobart; but what he loved the most was being a Sunday School teacher for 42 years at Assembly of God churches, he also ministered at prisons for years.
He is survived by brother Clemente Maldonado and wife Ramona,
children; Juan Maldonado and wife Christina, Cipriano Maldonado and wife Nora, Rosalinda Costilla and husband Ricardo, Gloria Balderaz and husband Carmen, Ernesto Maldonado and wife Ruth, Alberto Maldonado and wife Beatrice, Martina Gregory, Carlos Maldonado and wife Nettie, Olivia Oakley and husband Brian, Juan Maldonado and wife LaToyia, 27 grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren, and many god children.
A.V. was preceded in death by his parents Cipriano and Inocencia Maldonado, wife Amanda, son Cipriano, daughter Oladia Tamez, grandson Micheal Wilkerson, granddaughter Amanda Maldonado, two brothers Pedro and Severo, and two sisters Flora and Consuelo.
