OBITUARY
AUSTIN MICHAEL WHINERY, 20, of Anadarko, was born October 28, 1991, in Okarche, Oklahoma to Michael Dale and Tammy Renee (McCathern) Whinery. He passed from this life on Sunday, June 17, 2012, just outside of Anadarko, Oklahoma.
Austin started school in Gracemont, Oklahoma where he attended elementary and junior high. Then he went on to attend high school in El Reno, Oklahoma where he graduated in May of 2010. After high school, Austin moved back to Anadarko, Oklahoma
He found great joy and happiness in spending time with family and friends and most of all his nephew, Blake Trammell, who was the apple of his eye and his little side kick. Austin had a love for music that could be seen through him playing his guitars and harmonica. Austin loved to hunt and fish and camping with his family which was always a blast. He always had a smile on his face and always making us laugh. He had a strong faith in God and inspired us all with his huge, loving heart.
His memories will always be with us in our hearts and never forgotten. He will be greatly missed but always with us.
Austin was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Frank McCathern and James Padgett.
Survivors include his mother, Tammy McCathern of Anadarko; his father Michael Whinery and his wife, Debbie of Geary; his brothers, Brandon Leonard and his wife, Linda of Oklahoma City, Nicholas and his wife, Rebekah of Anadarko and step-brother Jimmy Hilmer of Barstow, California; his sister, Jordan Trammell and her husband, Dakota of Anadarko, step-sisters, Jessica Hilmer of Barstow and Jo Lynn Warner of Phoenix, Arizona; his grandparents, Frank and Wilma Whinery of El Reno and Paula Padgett of Gracemont; his nephew, Blake Trammell of Anadarko; his nieces, Olivia Hilmer of Barstow and Dakota Warner of Phoenix; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
The funeral will be held at 2 P.M., Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at the First Assembly of God Church in Anadarko. Burial will follow in the Murray Cemetery in Binger under the direction of the Steverson Funeral Home.
