Anthony V. Amauty, 60, went home on December 3, 2020 after a tough but short fight with cancer. He was born to Ramon and Winema (McGilbry) Amauty on May 19, 1960 in Lawton, OK.
He lived and worked in Oklahoma and New Mexico during his lifetime. Anthony went to OU, Broadcast School, Eastern New Mexico University, and Canadian Valley Tech, were he earned certificates and diplomas.
He loved music and sports. He was a career radio announcer who worked at various radio stations, where he enjoyed the perks of going to concerts and meeting many famous, influential people in radio and music industry. He was a Dead Head, a blue grass fan and enjoyed playing air guitar. Besides music he loved to cook and watch sports. His teams were the Chicago Cubs and the Miami Dolphins.
In his retirement he was a care giver for his Mom and Dad. He also took care of his Aunt Dorine.

Anthony encouraged people to stop smoking and wear a face mask. He always believed in helping others even in his cancer care, he was in a study that improves the care of cancer patients.

Niece & Nephew: Dana and Shane Joe, Lehi, Utah
Aunt: Dorine Brownen
Loved by numerous family and friends

Preceded in death by: Mother, Winema Amauty; Grandparents George and Lucy McGilby; Aunts: Galela Myers, Winona Butler, Patricia Goombi; Uncle; Billy Amauty: cousin Mekko Butler

Private family service will be held at a later date.
