Annie M. Dorsey

Annie M. Dorsey, 89, of Hobart, Oklahoma passed away February 28, 2017. She was born on February 12, 1928 to William and Angelina (Allgood) Henson. Ann married her first husband, Arlie Wade, on May 31, 1947. Following Arlie's passing, she later married Fred Dorsey on April 7, 1963. Fred was a minister with the Pentecostal Church of God and Ann faithfully served beside him as pastors at the Rose Assembly in Mangum, OK, Pentecostal Churches of God in Chickasha, OK, Oklahoma City, OK and Springville, IN before they finally made their home in Hobart. After Fred's passing, Ann continued to attend the First Pentecostal Church of God where she served as secretary and as a Sunday School teacher. She was very active in the Women's Ministries of the church. Ann loved to cook, sew and help others. She baked and decorated cakes for every occasion. She is especially known for her zucchini bread, red velvet cakes and chocolate chip cookies. She also enjoyed ironing for friends and family.

3 Sons: Wayne Wade and wife Teresa of Oklahoma City, OK
Ronnie Wade and wife Debbie of Oklahoma City, OK
David Dorsey and wife Renate of Granite, OK
1 Brother: Charles Henson and wife Pat of Midwest City, OK
14 Grandchildren
22 Great-Grandchildren
2 Great-Great Grandchildren
Numerous other family members and friends

She is preceded in death by:
her parents; her husbands; 7 sisters, Myrtle Henson, Ester Lee, Pauline Sanders, Alline Henson, Berneice Goucher, Margaret Groseclose and Oleta (Dolly) Shoopman; 2 brothers, Alva Lee and William Henson; two sons, Marty and Larry Dorsey; daughter, Fredia Doke; and great granddaughter, Trystan Wade.
