Anna Mae Peikert

Anna Mae (Ann) Robinson Peikert, 81, of Mountain View, OK, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2022. She was born at her grandmother's home on August 24, 1940, in Atoka, OK, to farmers Don Doyle Robinson and Mary Ruth Smith. As a little girl, she recalled picking cotton and hops and playing with her cow, named Strawberry on the family farm.

Beautiful Ann, in her younger days, while living in Dallas, TX, worked as a fashion and boutique model for Dallas Market Hall and had a career at Zale's Jewelers and JCPenney's. Ann, with her love of children and knack for caring for them, worked as a preschool teacher and later became a successful entrepreneur, starting her own childcare business. She loved each and every one of those children and throughout the rest of her life, she spoke of them and reminisced about them often. Ann shared her many G-d-given gifts with the world and touched the hearts of many.

Ann is survived by her devoted husband, Marlin Peikert, 81, of Mountain View, OK, who she married at The Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; her sisters, Rosalie Wartick, of Carnegie, OK and Mary Gasaway, of Anadarko, OK; her beloved children Randy Richardson, of Orlando,FL, Rob Richardson and Marlina Lieberman, of McKinney, TX; ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

During her life, Ann mourned the passing of her parents, her dear son, Ricky Richardson, her sister Donna Widener and her brothers, Danny, Johnny and Kenneth. She missed them all dearly and honored their memory by speaking of them fondly and often.

A service will be held in her honor at 2 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2022, at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Viewing will be held the day before on Thursday, June 23, 2022. She will be laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery, Mountain View, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers, Ann's family has suggested donations may be made in memorial to the charity of your choice.
