Amanda Karole Shook, 39, of Bridge Creek, was born February 13, 1983, to Larry and Linda (Davis) Parrish in Chickasha. She passed from this life on Thursday, December 12, 2013, at the OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
Amanda was raised and attended school in the Lookeba-Sickles area and graduated with the Class of 2002. She worked for Alltell that later became Verizon for six years. Amanda later became a proud stay at home mom.
She dearly loved the lights of her life, her children and her husband, Jeremy Butz. Amanda was quick-tempered but also quick to forgive. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone. Amanda was a member of the Gracemont First Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents.
Survivors include her husband, Jeremy Butz; Three children, Carter Shook, Madison Shook and Austin Butz, all of Bridge Creek; mother and father, Larry and Linda Parrish of Binger; one sister, Natasha Jones and her husband, John of Chickasha; one brother, Brandon Parrish and his wife, Dacy of Bridge Creek; one sister-in-law, Stephanie Butz of Bridge Creek; father and mother-in-law, Steve and Brenda Butz of Blanchard; three nieces, Jaden Boren of Chickasha Kamberlyn Parrish and Adelyn Parrish, both of Bridge Creek; one nephew, Nathan Jones of Chickasha; other relatives and many friends.
The funeral service is scheduled for 10 A.M., Tuesday, November, 17, 2013, at the Gracemont First Baptist Church with Pastor Donny Crittendon officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray Cemetery in Binger.
