Alverna Floris Guerrero-Rodriquez

Alverna Floris Guerrero-Rodriguez, 53, of Anadarko, was born January 4, 1960, to Stanford Cantrell and Vernola Mae (Cody) Wolf in Lawton, Oklahoma. She passed from this life on Monday, May 27, 2013, also in Lawton.
After graduating from Chilocco in 1978, Alverna attended college for three years. She then met Jose Guerrero-Rodriguez in 1980. They were married in 1982 and made their home in Anadarko. Out of this marriage was born three children, Cody, Nola and Jelascio.
Alverna loved spending time with her family, especially all of her grandchildren. When with her friends, there would always be teasing, laughter and a lot of joking around. Music? Alverna loved music! You could always hear her coming down the hallway snapping her fingers and singing away. In her spare time, she would do a lot of arts and crafts like canvas art with yarn and all sorts of beadwork. Before her health failed, she participated in water aerobics. Oh how she enjoyed these classes. Her name for all the ladies in the class was “The Little Mermaids.†She loved all these ladies and always expressed how much she looked forward to going to the classes.
Preceding her in death were her parents and one nephew, Christopher Wolfe. Survivors include her husband, Jose, of the home; three children, Cody Guerrero-Rodriguez and his wife, Renee, Nola Guerrero-Rodriguez and her fiancé, Luis Dorres, both of Anadarko and Jelascio Guerrero-Rodriguez of Norman; six grandchildren, Emma, Joseph, Ahja, Isabelle, Nolyn and Sophia; brother, Deroy Wolf of Philadelphia, Mississippi; sister, Melody Wolf of Anadarko; special friend, Marilyn Stevens of Anadarko other relatives and a host of very dear friends, too many to mention.
